Stephen has worked in the Performing Arts since 2002- graduating from LIPA (The Liverpool Institute for Performing Arts) with a First-Class BA Honours Degree in Acting.
Since then he has worked extensively in Theatre, TV, Radio and Voiceovers.
As a Director he has staged a number of productions; most recently, his self-penned disco-musical, MAM I'M ERE, as well as Making It, and Scouse Sleeping Beauty, all for The Royal Court Liverpool; as well as directing NHS THE MUSICAL for Theatre Royal Plymouth. Stephen also worked as Artistic Advisor for The Liverpool Everyman and Playhouse Theatres.
During lockdown, he co-created a mini-web series called THIS IS OUR BEV, entertaining tens of thousands of people across social media. He also raised £20,000 with his crowdfunded POP-UP PANTO, taking pantomime across the city region's schools, employing local creatives and entertaining thousands of children- for free.
He is a Dramaturge for a number of new plays and musicals, and is also producer of the award-winning production company, Life in Theatre Productions- creating new work, employing local talent, and entertaining tens of thousands of people since 2012.
As a performer he has appeared on TV and in numerous stage plays across the UK and the West End.
He has worked alongside Phyllida Lloyd, Jamie Lloyd, Cal McCrystal, Peter Kosminsky, Willy Russell, Ian Talbot, Thelma Holt, Adrian Vinken and more. He has also one of the original members of The Old Vic New Voices Company, a regular voice on Radio 4 Drama productions and commercial voiceovers.
